Rihanna : Rated R , and The Movie Precious Review

Yes I know that we are all surprised to even here me speak this girls name lolll but I am a music lover and Rihanna's new album Rated R definitely surprised me. As to Rihanna's previous albums they didn't seem like she was being real and "rugged" I guess she was just being to bubbly for me personally. Now i loved the whole "reggae" feel to her first album because those are her roots and that's where she excels best , hence "Pon De Replay". But personally I think Rated R is what Good Girl going bad should have been. With this album she has more of an edge that she thought she had in Good Girl Gone Bad. Rihanna has taken off the gloves on this record don't get me wrong she is no Anita Baker , BEYONCE!!, or Whitney Houston, however the album is good , it's solid to me. This album is on kind of the same page as Ashanti's first album. I don't know if it will match ashanti's album sales for that record but basically I'm saying the album is good , and you should definitely check it out.


This movie was EXCELLENT!!!, personally I'm going along with everyone else's predictions I definitely see a few Oscars for this movie especially my girl Monique. The sad thing about this movie is the depictions of the characters is what is really going on in some child's life and they are too afraid to speak about it. I think that movie really opened my eyes just to the fact that you really never really know what someone else is going through , or the trials and tribulations they face every day. The strength that the Precious character had throughout this movie was just amazing to overcome everything that was thrown at her from her mother , and her father is just commendable. If that would've been me wooooooooooo lawd mama would've been calling blue cross blue shield instead of the welfare office lollll. But you know what she did right because the ultimate pain a parent can ever have is losing their child, and there is no pain like it. I just can't understand why some parents treat their children in this type of manner, it just completely confuses me. But if you haven't already you definitely must go out, and support this movie you won't be disappointed.

Beyonce I Am Yours....DVD Thoughts

BRAVO BRAVO , YESS STAND UP AND CLAP FOR HER!!!! It was excellent , excellent , excellent, this woman never dissappoints EVER!! Beyonce has come so far from the beginning and "temporary" departure of destinys child it still amazes me to this day. I Am Yours is personally what i've been waiting for from her, was that vulnerability in her concerts, or that accessibility that me as a fan has never had before. Honestly I never thought that she would do a more intimate or "non-stadium" type thing and I'm so glad that she did. From the beginning with her actually taking the time to greet her fans pretty much thanking them for coming was just greeeat to me. So many artist just come out sing and sit down , this time Beyonce really has stomped a mudhole in that statement (not like she ever does that anyway cause girlfriend goes OFF on every performance OKAY!!). She really wanted the audience to feel included and a part of her performance. I mean she is always thanking and saying how she would never be where she is today without her fans (STANS), and she's not doing it like " ok they purchased my album so now i have to sing, and dance and do all this extra mess". She actually enjoys what she does and that's what separates her from the rest. I love the "unplugged" feel to it , I mean it really showed that stripped down off all the glitz and the glamour Beyonce Knowles is and always will be one of the best performers , entertainers , ICONS, LEGENDS!!!! of our time. Ok now listen when she did "Resentment" listenn here I absolutely loved every bit of it, she absolutely killed that song to pieces. I don't know about you , but i've been wanting her to perform that song since I heard it. Personally I think that song would've been great somewhere up in the Dreamgirls movie. But over all Beyonce you keep doing your thing baby , and I will be right there in that front row supporting you.

Yes I did, take that from the beyonce I Am Yours...DVD but so what shit lolll.... Anyway, thank you so much for stopping by my little old blog, I was just sitting here thinking (like I always do) , since I'm always wondering about things let's put it into a blog and see what happens lolll. But for those who don't know me , I'm a really cool person to meet and get to know. I absolutely love music , and anything that has to do with music. I play the piano, and I sing which I really need to get back to doing by the way!!!! Of course if you haven't figured out by now my favorite singer is the Queen Beyonce Knowles-Carter (Yes I did HOW U DEWIN!!) But she will be a separate post all together, because this one is about me lol. Another artist that is very dear to my heart is Whitney Houston, and she will be another post as well (God I love me some Whitney like U HAVE NO IDEA. But I also love to meet new people , and just learn different things from them. So this is only the beginning just definitely stay tuned.
